The slide rule has a rich history of over 400 years as a tool for calculation and estimation. Although overshadowed by hand-held calculators, computers, and smartphones, the elegant simplicity of slide rules remains a marvel. This program faithfully replicates various types of slide rules – straight, circular, spiral, and cylindrical – including dozens of scales and modern features such as color options and numeric displays.

Slide rules played pivotal roles in significant projects like lunar missions, bridge construction, skyscrapers, tunnels, and aqueducts due to their ease of use and accuracy for most tasks.

It's important to note that the program's advanced features may strain device processors and drain battery quickly under heavy usage. Despite optimization efforts, certain functions may have slight delays, particularly during the initial load which takes a few seconds due to creating numerous elements. The program is best experienced on larger screens like tablets to fully appreciate its intricate details.

The program incorporates a unique feature where the 30-loop spiral slide rule transitions between low-resolution "bitmap data image" while moving and high-quality "vector-based image" upon release.

Furthermore, it offers a captivating slideshow showcasing notable slide rules from the author’s personal collection alongside public domain images of antique models.
